Divorce Decree

A divorce decree is an official document issued by the divorce court stating the details of the final judgment. It includes details about the divorce itself, as well as, the rulings on things like spousal support, child support, custody, visitation, property division, and asset and debt management.

Both parties will receive a copy of the divorce decree from the court when the divorce is finalized. If the divorce was settled, rather than going to trial, the divorce decree will state the terms of the settlement.
