National Center for Health Statistics (NCHS)

The National Center for Health Statistics (NCHS) is a part of the U.S. Federal Statistical System and is responsible for compiling and releasing statistical health information, both online and in print. The reports they provide help determine the best actions and policies to improve and maintain the health of American citizens.

The NCHS is a sub-agency of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), which in turn is a part of the United States Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). NCHS headquarters are currently located in Hyattsville, Maryland.
